Vintage textiles have a story already woven into them – decades of use, care and character that simply can’t be replicated with new fabric. I’ve always been drawn to these pieces, whether it’s a faded floral curtain, an embroidered tablecloth or a length of fabric that’s been tucked away in a drawer for decades and forgotten.

Upcycling vintage textiles allows me to honour what already exists while reimagining it into something entirely new. I love the challenge of working with what’s there – embracing quirks, designing around imperfections, and elevating humble or overlooked materials into beautifully made, wearable pieces. These projects are often the most rewarding for me, pushing my creativity and craftsmanship in unexpected directions.

By giving existing materials a new life, I’m able to reduce waste and make use of fabrics that might otherwise remain unused or be discarded – all while creating garments with real individuality and soul.
