Frequently Asked Questions

Where is She’s Dynamite based?

The She’s Dynamite studio is located on the sunny south coast of Dorset in the UK, and every piece is handmade and shipped from here.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Everything on the website is handmade to order, so by placing an order with She’s Dynamite you’re supporting a ‘slow fashion’ brand. Although I can’t compete with the instant gratification of today’s ‘fast fashion’ world, you’ll be receiving a lovingly hand-crafted piece which takes time to create. Please check each listing for a manufacture estimation, and the shipping information below for an idea of how long delivery will take after that. Rest assured, it’s all worth the wait!

Do you ship internationally?

I ship worldwide! International shipping is charged at a flat rate, no matter how many items you purchase.

Standard international parcels are sent using the Royal Mail International tracked and signed service wherever possible. For the few countries where this service is not available, parcels are sent using the Royal Mail International tracked service. All parcels to the USA are now shipped using UPS or FedEx.

Shipping times vary depending on your location, but as a rough guide here are estimated delivery times:

Europe: 3-5 working days

USA: 3-5 working days

Australia: 10-15 working days

Rest of the world: 10-15 working days

Can I expedite my shipping?

Yes! It is possible to arrange a faster courier service to most countries. These services expedite shipping considerably for certain destinations. Feel free to get in touch for an accurate timeframe based on your location.

Can I expedite the manufacturing time?

I can sometimes accommodate a slight reduction in the manufacturing time, but it cannot be reduced by any considerable amount. For example, if the estimated time is 10 weeks, but you have an important event in 9 weeks, this could be possible dependant on my workload. It’s always best to get in touch before placing your order and I’ll see what I can do. It’s also a good idea to upgrade to courier shipping in these circumstances.

I don’t fit any of the sizes on your chart exactly. Can you make me a custom sized garment?

If your measurements fall within the parameters of the size guide (i.e. not smaller or larger) making your item to a custom size is usually not a problem. Just send me an email before placing your order stating your measurements and the dress style you’re interested in, and I can organise this.

I’ve heard you can work with clients’ own fabrics. How can I arrange this?

Working with clients’ own precious vintage fabrics and specially acquired materials is one of my favourite things to do. If you have a fabric you would like to have turned into a unique piece, I’d love to hear from you! I will treat your fabrics with the care and respect they deserve and the results will be truly special. Just send an email with a description of your fabric including its composition (if known), it’s dimensions, your measurements and the name of the dress style you’re interested in, and I will let you know if it's possible.

Can you make me a piece using the bodice style from one of your dresses and the skirt style from another in a different fabric?

Usually, yes! As long as you are using references from the items here on the website or my past work, I am usually happy and able to do this. I love creating unique combinations using different style elements and welcome this type of work! Please email with your ideas and we can discuss.

Can you recreate a vintage piece for me?

Sadly, due to the time-consuming nature of recreating a vintage piece from scratch, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to find the space in my schedule to take on these kind of projects. From time to time I may accept this kind of work, but it depends on my workload at the time. Please do send over your ideas and reference images and I will consider your project.

Can I exchange/return an item?

It’s my hope and aim that you’ll be delighted with every She’s Dynamite piece, but you may return any standard-sized garment that is not custom in nature. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Items must be returned in an unworn, unwashed and ‘as new’ saleable condition to be eligible for an exchange or a refund.

Can I cancel/change my order?

I begin processing orders as soon as they are placed, so for this reason I am unable to cancel or make any significant changes to orders. If you need to make an adjustment to your measurements this may be possible up to a certain point, the best thing to do is get in touch.

My favourite item sold out. Will you stock it again?

In most cases, if an item has been completely removed from the website it usually means that it will not be coming back. If an item is still visible on the website, but is marked as ‘sold out’, it may be awaiting a fabric restock. If this is the case, please feel free to contact me to enquire about the status of the item.

Do you sell your sewing patterns?

Although a few of the styles here on the website are made using modified vintage patterns, the majority of the items you see are made using patterns of my own design. I do not currently have any plans to make these available to purchase.

I’m a blogger/influencer, can we collaborate?

As a small business, I sadly don’t have the time and resources to send free/reduced items to influencers, although I am really flattered and thank you for your interest!
